This program is a county endorsed grant funded primarily through the Wayne County, (Michigan) Parks millage. The grant was developed to provide positive and appropriate leisure services to individuals with disabilities. Current participating communities are: Redford Township, Canton Township, City of Canton, City of Dearborn, City of Plymouth, City of Northville, Northville Township, Van Buren Township, City of Livonia, City of Westland, and the City of Wayne.

WWCTR White Christmas
at the Fox Theatre
The musical tells the story of two showbiz buddies putting on a show in a picturesque
Vermont inn, and finding their perfect mates in the bargain. Full of dancing, laughter and
some of the greatest songs ever written, Irving Berlin's White Christmas promises to be
a merry and bright theatrical experience for the entire family! Irving Berlin's White
Christmas makes you feel like "you've stepped into a Technicolor movie musical," said
the Oakland Tribune. Come enjoy this truly spectacular event! Tickets are limited,
please register early. Please have lunch before attending.
Ages: All ages. Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

These programs are designed for people with a variety of disabilities including cognitive impairments, autism spectrum disorders, emotional impairments, and physical challenges including spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury and more. It is the goal of Therapeutic Recreation Program to provide a wide variety of recreation and leisure activities for people with special needs. This program was awarded the Michigan Parks and Recreation Association Excellence in Therapeutic Recreation Program Award in 1998 & 2006.
